Stuart Appleby - Players Championship 2007

A 77,000 square foot club house has been built in less the 15 months that is so big it can be seen from 12 holes of the course.

The locker room, and every room for that matter, is of a very high quality and has a very focused build.

The practice areas are just perfect with a massive tee area for hitting and fantastic short game areas.

If you can't get all the shots you need here sorted, you never will, it's that good.

The course itself has had a face lift that was much needed.

Over the past 12+ months there have been many changes to the most famous TPC course we play.
The fairways all have new top soil laid down to help with drainage issues that have kept the course of being in optimal condition in the wet.

The greens have new turf with an under ground system that draws water down and away from the surface in very wettest of conditions.

This is the same system that Augusta National uses to keep things dry on top.

The plan with the changes was get a firmer course for the new May date V's the March position it held for many years that had storms running the vent.

The weather this week so far has been cooler then normal.
We all hope to see the new firmer conditions the Tours hoping for by the weekend.

There are so many great holes out here full of risk reward for sure

The most famous is the very short 17th hole, which actually claims about 120,000 balls a year by the 40,000 golfers that attempt to hit its small island green.
Do the math, those 3 balls per player on average that end up wet....crazy.

Once the 17th has been played the 18th provides one extra test before your pencil gets to touch your score car.

If I can play these two holes in even par for the week he will be flying past many others for sure.
